Karma or Brahma?

Part 1

Every single thing we experience is the consequence of the actions performed by us at each and every situation. Slight changes in the actions can make vast differences in the consequences.

Life is simply a train of cause and effects. We are put in various situations and we react to it. It’s like a game of multiple choice questions, and the next set of questions are determined by the previous answers. The smallest of things can make a difference and we don’t even realise it.

They always said with determination, dedication, discipline, punctuality, perseverance, one can be successful. But what about the decisions we have to take at every single moment? To look back or not? to take right or be on the same path? To follow the lead or walk alone? But never did they gave as much importance to the ‘decision making‘ part. I understand that one can only make better decisions with wide knowledge about the required subject; but it would have been better if I knew that I’ll have to pay for every silly choice I make, earlier.
So, always have the big picture in mind and make your moves, calmly. Because, the decisions you take today, will have an impact later.

So, Our Karma shapes our future, right? Are you sure?

Part 2

“It was not in my destiny “
We hear this so often when something does not happen as expected, on failures or on making mistakes.
What’s happening in our lives; is it really the God’s will??
My deeds and dooms are already written in the sacred book of Brahma. If I commit a murder, it’s because it was God’s will; I had that written in my destiny.
If it is indeed God’s will, no one is responsible for what they do. Murderers can’t be convicted, people can’t be blamed and we are not responsible for anything happening around because it was meant to happen. And that’d be a pretty messed up world to live in.

If it is our Karma then why does bad things happen to good people? Why is this strong set of belief about destiny around? Why do people experience unfair lives compared to their deeds? Why things aren’t fair enough to prove the other wrong?

Is it our decisions or is it our destiny that decides our future?

Is it the Choices we make at each step or the Brahma’s pen?

Part 3

Even after taking better decisions, life keeps having unexpected twists, something that’s beyond our control. Some factors are uncontrollable. At times, you think you don’t have a choice.

That’s how life on earth works. You can lean towards destiny for those uncontrollable events; to not get depressed, be optimistic and to keep going. But if you do not put in required efforts and fail, that’s your karma. You had a choice; but you ignored it and that action led you to this state.

A person knows what’s controllable and what’s not. A person, when wants excuses for his deeds, blames Brahma. One who wants to grow out of his mistakes will accept the outcomes. One who wants to take responsibility of himself will believe in Karma.

A possible compromise I could think about was what if both work hand in hand. Destiny shows us hundreds of doors, each having a different scenario behind it, but we don’t know what’s happening on the opposite side of the door. And it’s our choice to open the door we think will have the best outcome.

Take responsibility of your decisions and move forward. Accept and respect your choices whether good or bad and grow out of it. Because its you, who’ll have to live with it.
It’s on you whether you want to live blaming God or take the pen in your hand write your own destiny.

You can say that the faults were in your stars but you can’t deny that you were given the pen to rewrite those stars.

So,

Is it Brahma’s pen or your Karma?
because….

Neither can live when the other survives.
